Quartz Sand Acid Washing Production Line
The quartz sand acid washing production line is a complete deep refining line following wet purification of quartz sand. It uses the acid washing process to further remove iron film contamination and trace encapsulated impurities from the surface of quartz sand particles, further improving quartz sand purity. It is mostly used in the deep refining stage of high-purity photovoltaic sand and high-end quartz glass sand.
Applicable raw materials: medium-to-high grade quartz sand semi-finished products after wet scrubbing-magnetic separation-flotation pretreatment; it is not recommended to feed raw ore directly into the acid washing stage. Pre-wet purification can effectively reduce acid consumption.
Process flow: pretreated quartz sand semi-finished product feeding → acid washing reaction → leaching → water washing and rinsing → deacidification → hydraulic classification washing and impurity removal → DTS vibrating dewatering screen dewatering → NM thickener collecting washing wastewater → BK high-pressure diaphragm plate-and-frame filter press for filter pressing treatment of acid washing wastewater sludge → HGS three-pass rotary dryer drying → YBF square swing screen fine screening and classification to obtain finished products. The entire production line needs to be equipped with a wastewater neutralization treatment system to neutralize the acid washing waste liquid and achieve compliant discharge.
Output products: 30-120 mesh acid-washed refined quartz sand, high-purity acid-washed photovoltaic sand, further reducing surface-adhered iron impurities and improving SiO₂ purity indicators.
Finished product uses: raw material for photovoltaic quartz crucibles, high-end quartz glass, optical quartz products, and high-purity quartz sand for electronic materials.
Capacity range: customized capacity 5-60t/h; the acid washing stage is a later-stage refining process and is generally linked with the preceding wet purification production line; intermittent or continuous acid washing process design can be made according to the customer's raw material impurity conditions, undertaking complete-line equipment configuration and process scheme design.
Product advantages: specifically removes disseminated iron impurities on the ore surface, making up for surface film impurities that magnetic separation and flotation cannot handle; pre-wet pretreatment can effectively reduce reagent consumption; the water washing stage fully rinses to reduce residual acid in the finished product; equipped with a wastewater neutralization, filter pressing, and dry discharge system for compliant treatment of acid washing waste liquid; the process can adjust acid washing time and ratio according to the customer's impurity test report, flexibly adapting to different purity targets.
Note: the acid washing stage involves hazardous chemicals, and plant construction needs to be equipped with a compliant wastewater neutralization treatment system, strictly following local environmental protection and safety management regulations.
