The high-efficiency rotary dryer is mainly used for drying materials such as slag, clay, and pulverized coal in the building materials or metallurgical industries, as well as leaching residue, quartz sand, and gypsum in metal ore dressing. This high-efficiency rotary dryer adopts a new type of lifting flight device, featuring multiple functions such as guiding, flow equalizing, and material lifting. It can evenly distribute materials across the radial cross-section of the dryer, making the material curtain thin, uniform, and complete, fully contacting the hot air flow to achieve the purpose of fully utilizing thermal energy. It can significantly reduce energy consumption and increase output.
Working Principle
The wet material to be dried is sent to the hopper by a belt conveyor or bucket elevator, and then enters the drying drum. The drum is a rotating cylinder slightly inclined to the horizontal, and different materials such as carbon steel, high manganese steel, and stainless steel can be selected. The material is fed from the higher end of the drum, and the heat carrier enters from the lower end, contacting the material in countercurrent, or the heat carrier and material enter the cylinder together in concurrent flow. During the forward movement of the wet material inside the cylinder, it directly or indirectly receives heat from the heat carrier, allowing the wet material to be dried, and then it is discharged at the discharge end via a belt conveyor or screw conveyor. The inner wall of the cylinder is equipped with flights, whose function is to make the material form a waterfall flow, so as to increase the drying rate and promote the forward movement of the material. The heat carrier is generally divided into hot air, flue gas, etc. After the heat carrier passes through the drying drum, a cyclone dust collector is generally required to capture the material carried in the gas. If further reduction of the dust content in the exhaust gas is required, it should also pass through a bag filter or wet dust collector before being discharged.
