Tower Dryer

The tower dryer is a highly efficient industrial drying equipment. Its main body is a vertically arranged tower-shaped structure, usually composed of a top cover, storage section, drying section, tempering section, cooling section, and discharge section. The tower dryer has high thermal efficiency and uniform temperature distribution, effectively avoiding local overheating. It also features a high degree of automation, allowing precise control of the material's residence time inside the tower to achieve continuous, uniform, and gentle drying.
Working Principle:
The induced draft fan at the rear of the dryer creates negative pressure, drawing in the hot air ejected by the natural gas burner at the inlet. After being mixed and adjusted by the air supplement device, the air enters the first, second, and third layers of the dryer and is then discharged by the induced draft fan. Inside the dryer chamber, there are approximately 200 aluminum tubes. During operation, the hot air flows inside the tubes, while the outside of the tubes is wrapped in sand. The hot air flowing inside the tubes radiates through the aluminum tube walls and is absorbed by the quartz sand, gradually heating and drying the sand. The dried sand falls into the collection hopper at the bottom and is conveyed by a conveyor belt to the screening equipment. The hot air entering the dryer is around 500°C, and after three cycles of heat absorption, it is discharged by the rear induced draft fan at around 70°C. The reduced heat is all absorbed by the quartz sand. During the drying process, the sand does not come into contact with the hot air, so the quality and grade of the sand are not affected.
