The clarified liquid (overflow) produced by thickening remains in the upper part of the thickener and is discharged through the annular launder at the top. Thickening process: the slurry entering the tank gradually and naturally forms five different zones: clarification zone, free settling zone, sedimentation zone, thickening zone, and sludge zone. Slurry thickening begins in the free settling zone, but the main thickening process takes place in the thickening zone.
The customer is an enterprise in the quartz sand processing field and needs to purchase a thickener for tailings thickening and return water treatment, with a processing capacity of 150 tons/hour. However, it faces multiple challenges such as high suspended solids in sand washing wastewater, high turbidity of return water, and great pressure on the tailings storage yard.
