The YTS trommel screen is a widely used machine in quartz sand sorting technology. It controls sorting by particle size, achieving high sorting precision. The trommel body is generally divided into several sections, depending on the specific situation, with screen holes arranged from small to large, and the hole diameter on each section being the same.
The trommel screen mainly consists of a motor, reducer, trommel device, frame, sealing cover, and inlet and outlet ports.
Working Principle
The trommel device is installed at an angle on the frame. The motor is connected to the trommel device via a coupling through the reducer, driving the trommel device to rotate around its axis. When material enters the trommel device, the inclination and rotation of the trommel device cause the material on the screen surface to tumble and roll, allowing qualified material (undersize product) to be discharged through the outlet at the bottom of the rear end of the trommel, while unqualified material (oversize product) is discharged through the discharge port at the tail of the trommel. Due to the tumbling and rolling of the material inside the trommel, material stuck in the screen holes can be ejected, preventing the screen holes from clogging. The trommel sand screening machine, trommel screening machine, and trommel screen have almost the same principle and structure; the differences lie in people's understanding and naming of them.
