Trommel screen installation site: the trommel assembly is mounted at an incline on the frame. The motor is connected to the trommel assembly via a coupling through the reducer, driving the trommel assembly to rotate around its axis. When material enters the trommel assembly, the incline and rotation of the trommel cause the material on the screen surface to tumble and roll, allowing qualified material (undersize product) to discharge through the discharge outlet at the bottom of the rear end of the trommel, while unqualified material (oversize product) discharges through the discharge outlet at the tail of the trommel. Because the material tumbles and rolls inside the trommel, material stuck in the screen holes can be ejected, preventing screen hole blockage.
The customer is an enterprise in the quartz sand processing field and needed to purchase a trommel screen for raw ore screening and impurity removal, with a processing capacity of 50 tons/hour. However, they faced multiple challenges such as high mud content in the material, easily clogged screen holes, and restricted on-site installation conditions.
